Ruled by Your Night
breathe in the tears
as i let it all go
they soak my skin and fade
rivulets crawling not so softly
a stellar heartache
has erupted my existence
my sky is eclipsed
and i feel a star birth
inside of me
so condensed and expanded
my tears feed it
i cannot shed the noise in
my head, in my heart, or in
the shell of my body
it becomes a distant tomb
my mind is all smoke and dust
it all seems new but
once again
it isn't
i open my eyes
they have cleared and shine
like supernovas
the world settles
a slice of heaven
inside me has chrysalized
what a presence
as i look up at the other stars
i know my night is ruled
by yours
